Soundtrack

Since version 2.1, Drehmal has had some kind of soundtrack, with songs beyond vanilla Minecraft's soundtrack being used in specific locations. In 2.2, this is a fully original soundtrack, composed by Chris Nesja.

2.1 Soundtrack

In version 2.1, Drehmal had a soundtrack composed of tracks from other AAA video games, mostly pulling from the Breath of the Wild soundtrack, with a few songs from Hollow Knight and Bloodborne as well. The songs used in this version of the map can be found below.

2.1 Soundtrack

2.2 Original Soundtrack

With the 2.2 update, Drehmal completely ditched outside music in favor of an OST, featuring 51 tracks produced by Chris Nesja (plus two songs by builder Penngo). Parts of the soundtrack were slowly released to patrons in the years leading to 2.2's release, and it has been fully incorporated into the map since the first 2.2 beta.

In-game, the volume of the soundtrack is controlled by the "Locational Music" slider in audio settings.

Songs from the soundtrack typically fall into one of two categories: ambience or locational music. Some tracks are ambient, meaning that they can play randomly when out in the open world. Most tracks fall into the other category, serving as the theme song for a specific area - this can be a town, a major point of interest, or a story location.

Be warned! The titles and descriptions of some of the later tracks in this playlist may be significant spoilers, so if you have not beaten the map, follow this link at your own risk.

An official YouTube playlist is currently the only place where the full soundtrack can be listened to outside of the game.

A full tracklist can be found below, with progressive spoiler warnings.
