Ever since we started harvesting energy, these strange, tall, inky creatures have strode the realm in the night. We’ve managed to capture and perform autopsies on a handful, and they seem to have a “core” composed of primal energy. We’ve been calling it a pearl. They have strange properties when you throw them, and I’ve always wondered what would happen if we threw one into the Temporal Engine.
